DANCING WITH THE STARS

SPONSORED BY A CHA FAMILY

The Lowdown:

Last year, our incredible teachers had some fun with CHA's take on The Masked Dancer. This year it's up to the parents to dance while the teachers serve as our judges.

During the Auction there will be ONE waltz in which all nominated CHA couples will compete. Our teachers will judge (and your loud cheering might be taken into consideration *hint*). The moment a dancing couple is tapped on the shoulder by a teacher, they are out of the competition. The last couple standing wins a gift certificate to Big Sur's Post Ranch Inn, one of the United States' most luxurious and romantic resorts!

How to participate:

Nominate a friend (or two or three)! Nominate your favorite CHA teacher or staff member! Nominate yourself! A nomination covers the cost of the couple's optional dance lesson with Arthur Murray Dance Center Los Gatos on Thursday, April 7 at 6:30pm. You will be notified immediately if you are nominated so that you have plenty of time to practice (and mentally prepare) for this challenge. Not only could you win a romantic getaway, but you also are guaranteed to have a night of fun, dancing with your partner and other CHA parents!

*Nominations will end on Monday, April 4 and will NOT be available to purchase at the Auction. The Waltz will occur at 9:15pm at the Auction*

Cost: $150/1 couple, $250/2 couples, $375/3 couples

HEADS OR TAILS

SPONSORED BY PHO #1

The Lowdown:

At the Auction, before dinner begins, we will play a high-stakes elimination coin toss game, where players indicate their participation by wearing "pearl necklaces" purchased before or during the event. When the game begins, the game leader will toss a coin, and you must decide whether to place your hands atop your head ("heads") or on your backside ("tails"). The game leader will then call out the result of the coin toss (heads or tails), and if your hands are not on that body part, you must remove your pearl necklace. If that was your last strand of pearls, you must sit down.  If you have more than one pearl necklace, you can keep playing! This game continues until there is just one person left remaining with a strand of pearls. Winner of this game receives a gift certificate to the Carmel Valley Ranch.

How to Participate:

Purchase pearl beads before or at the Auction. The more pearl strands you buy, the better chance you have to be winner of this game and the Carmel Valley Ranch gift certificate!

*Can be purchased before or at the Auction. Heads or Tails will occur at 6:45pm at the Auction.*

Cost:$50/1 necklace, $100/3 necklaces

LAST PERSON STANDING

last man standing

The Lowdown:

At the end of the Live Auction, the Auctioneers will announce the start of Last Person Standing, which is a call for direct donations to Canyon Heights Academy. The Auctioneer will begin the game with a minimum dollar amount. If you are willing to donate *at least* this amount to the school, stand up. The Auctioneers will continue announcing rising dollar amounts. Stay standing until your donation limit is reached. Then, sit down! When you checkout of the Auction for the evening, this donation amount will be applied. The last person standing is the winner of the Last Person Standing, and their name will appear on the plaque in the front office.

How to Participate:

Just stand up when it's time and sit down when you reach your limit. It's that simple!
